In their relentless pursuit of market domination accross all price points, Samsung has announced the availability of their latest mobile offering in the form of the Shark 2 S5550, an AMOLED display toting slider phone and part of the new Shark family.
The Shark 2 also boasts of a mix of kevlar and metallic surfaces, giving it a strong appeal. A 5 megapixel camera that shoots 30fps video at QVGA resolution provides imaging muscle to go along with the tight integration with SNS and IM protocols. While not exactly the high end device that we normally cover at HGM, the Shark is particularly interesting as it gives the masses a taste of some AMOLED loving. The Shark 2 should already be available in stores and should come in at a relatively reasonable asking price of not more than ten grand.
