Sceptre brings in GX-I series 19-inch and 24-inch widescreen LED HDTVs

Looks like the days of conventional and bulky monitors are gradually fading out. The clutches of technology seem to have gripped TV and PC displays as well. Sceptre has announced the release of the feature rich 19” E195BD-SHD and 24” E246BD-FHD for its GX-I series of HDTVs.

The 19” LED display flaunts an active size of 18.5” with an outer frame measuring about 0.6” to 1.7”. It exhibits a resolution of about 1366 x 768p and 250cd/m2 brightness. The HDTV weighs about 8.3lbs. The 24” variant comes with an active screen size of 23.6” and an outer frame of 0.6” to 1.8”. The image resolution of this unit amounts to 1920 x 1080p and the brightness to 300cd/m2. This offering weighs approximately 10.5lbs.

The displays of both the HDTVs exhibit a wide screen aspect ratio of 16:9 and a response time of 5ms. The devices integrate an ultra-slim DVD player as well as auto contrast enhancement functionality. The exterior is embedded with two HDMI ports supporting a resolution of about 1080p to connect other gadgets, an earphone out and a USB port for JPEG and audio.

The audio functions of the units are backed by in-built speakers and SPDIF digital sound out capabilities. Both the devices are Energy Star 3.0 certified. The sleek HDTVs are designed with a black finish.

The E195BD-SHD and E246BD-FHD are priced at $269 and $399 respectively.
